Corrine Reed

Chief Executive Officer (she/her)

Specialties: Content Review/Editing, Nonprofit Setup, and Program Design

Corrine Reed, MSW, is a nonprofit management and grant procurement specialist. Her greatest strength is in giving exceptional attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture. Corrine earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina in 2018 with a specialization in Social, Community and Economic Development. Growing up in a small town in South Carolina, Corrine quickly learned that many of the most outstanding causes are hidden from public view. Leaders of these causes often need help connecting to the resources needed to take their work to the next level. As a lifelong theatre kid, Corrine’s main passion is to connect performing arts organizations, nationwide, with the funding and leadership tools to truly thrive!

Jim Guzel

Chief Financial Officer (he/him)

Specialties: Budget Development, Financial and Tax Consulting

Jim Guzel has been an income tax consultant for 30 years and an artist his entire life. For 14 years, Jim owned and operated Aphrodite Photography, a portrait studio in Washington, DC. He has a unique talent for facilitating his clients in the art of being themselves through the use of portrait photography, dance, and other creative endeavors.  His portraiture has been featured in Ebony and Popular Photography, and he has won several national and international awards for his fine art photography. His primary goal through Starfire Charity Solutions is to use his practical knowledge about the US tax system to create space for artists to do what they do best – be creative!

Aaron Sander

Chief Strategist (he/him)

Specialties: Board Training, Database Setup, Grant Research, and Strategic Planning

Colonel (Retired) Aaron Sander, MA, MSS, MSW, is an experienced US Army planner who served as such in named US Joint Operations in West Africa, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Additional planning assignments of note include at Headquarters, US European Command, and at the Pentagon. While he is a native of Newport News, VA, he now calls “Famously Hot” Columbia, SC home having served at Fort Jackson from 1998-2001. Additionally, he retired there in 2019 from his pinnacle Army career position as Assistant Chief of Staff, G1/AG (“Director of Personnel”), US Army Central and Third Army, Shaw Air Force Base, Sumter, SC.

Aaron’s greatest strength is his ability to analyze complex challenges and think critically to find feasible, acceptable, and suitable solutions. The US Department of Defense has published a small array of formal processes it uses to do just that. Aaron is very well-versed in those processes, and applies them to overcome all kinds of challenges. He additionally understands an array of published organizational structure frameworks and how to design an organization’s structure to optimally meet an organization’s vision and mission.

Aaron holds a 1992 BBA with a concentration of study in Human Resources from Radford University, Radford, VA; a 2007 MA in National Security and Strategic Studies from the US Naval College of Command and Staff, Newport, RI; a 2017 Master of Strategic Studies degree from the US Army War College, Carlisle, PA; and a 2021 Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina (UofSC), Columbia, SC.

As a concert guitarist and bassist, Aaron is passionate about improving worldwide appreciation and funding of the musical arts. Having played in German orchestras, Aaron has a firsthand understanding of how supporting the performing arts lends to our collective quality of life as a global community.
